Dr Andrew Parry

Dr Parry is one of Australia’s most credentialed educators, holding a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, and a Master of Education from the University of Sydney. With extensive experience living and working in leading independent schools in both Australia and England, he brings a deep understanding of boarding school life. A multifaceted individual, Dr Parry has represented Australia in rugby, coached at representative levels, and is an artist, musician, and student of architecture, history, and philosophy. He believes in holistic education that develops the whole person and is passionate about empowering students to realise their full potential. Throughout his career, Dr Parry has demonstrated his ability to unify communities and build dynamic teams. He was appointed as the fifth Principal of Kinross Wolaroi School after serving as Deputy Headmaster of The King’s School in Sydney, where he earned widespread respect as an outstanding educator and leader.

Mr Trent Chapman

Mr Chapman has been a key contributor to the life of Kinross Wolaroi School in various leadership roles, including Head Mentor of McLachlan House, Head of Weymouth House, Acting Head of Boys Boarding, Army Cadet Officer, and teacher of Technology, Applied Science, and Computing Studies. He is known for promoting a positive school culture and fostering strong communities. With over 20 years of experience in independent schools, including teaching in the UK, Mr Chapman brings a broad perspective that emphasises respect, relationship-building, and developing the whole student. Prior to joining Kinross Wolaroi School, he held leadership positions at The Scots College in Sydney. Mr Chapman holds a Bachelor of Education (Computing), a Bachelor of Teaching from the University of New England, and a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology from Charles Sturt University. He has also completed the National Excellence in School Leadership (NESLI) Colloquium.

Mrs Virginia Milliken

Mrs Milliken joined Kinross Wolaroi School with extensive experience in Junior School management. She is known to staff, students, and families alike for her expertise and leadership. Prior to her current role, she worked across various schools and contributed to curriculum development and compliance for the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

Mr Matt Byrne

Mr Matt Byrne brings a wealth of experience to his role, having served as Director, Head of Boys' Boarding for two years. Before this, he was Director of Boarding at Plymouth College, a leading co-educational boarding school in the UK. He has also been part of the team at Knox Grammar School. With extensive expertise across the classroom, sports field, and both single-sex and co-educational settings, Matt is deeply committed to fostering holistic development in students.

Mr Trevor Delbridge

Mr Delbridge began his career with Ernst & Young in Sydney before moving into a corporate role in the financial services sector and then into private practice following a move from Sydney to the Central West. Mr Delbridge joined Kinross Wolaroi School in March 2016 as Finance Manager and in this role has provided professional oversight and leadership to the accounting and financial administration functions of the School. He was appointed by the Kinross Wolaroi School Council as Business Manager and Clerk to the Council in February 2019.

Mr Delbridge holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney and is admitted as a Chartered Accountant.

Mrs Nerissa Marat

Mrs Marat joined Kinross Wolaroi School after a successful career with LiveBetter, where she served as Chief Operating Officer. With over 15 years of senior HR experience in the mining, automotive, and retail sectors, she has developed expertise in HR strategy, workforce planning, employee relations, and stakeholder management. She is committed to the success of regional organisations and values building relationships based on transparency, accountability, and trust. Mrs Marat holds a BA in Industrial Relations and Psychology from the University of Sydney.

Governing Body

The Kinross Wolaroi School Council has responsibility for the overall governance of the School in accordance with the Constitution. It is also a source of collective leadership within the School in partnership with the Principal. The key role of the Council is governance, not the management and day to day operations of the School, which are delegated to the Principal.

All Members of the Council have a variety of skills relevant to their governance role. They apply their expertise to ensure that Kinross Wolaroi School is governed wisely. The Council meets on a regular basis and has a number of sub-committees.

Key Functions

The key functions of the Council are to:

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, internal standards, policies and expectations of key stakeholders, past, present and future students and families, employees and suppliers and the broader regional community;
  • Determine Kinross Wolaroi School’s vision, mission, values, strategic aims and consequent plans;
  • Determine governance policies;
  • Appoint, supervise, appraise and receive reports from the Principal;
  • Delegate school and business management to the Principal;
  • Together with the Principal, develop action plans aligning with the Strategic Plan. Develop and monitor policies which set the framework for the School;
  • Ensure the financial resources are adequate and well managed. Council’s duty is to protect assets and manage income;
  • Determine the School’s objectives, purposes and standards and policies on key issues; and
  • Ensure the School has adequate comprehensive policies and procedures to manage risk including its audit functions.

Appointments

The Chair is elected by the Council Members who are appointed in accordance with the procedures set out in the Constitution. The Chair may serve a maximum term of 6 years which may be extended in exceptional circumstances to a maximum term of 9 years. In addition to the responsibilities of being a member, the Chair is required to lead and manage the Council, represent the Council within the community and offer the necessary support to the Principal.

Rev Andrew Cunningham

Reverend Cunningham, a current parent, was appointed to the School Council and later elected as Deputy Chair and Secretary to the Council. He now serves as Chair of Council and is a member of the Council Executive and Finance & Risk Sub-Committee. Reverend Cunningham also serves as Pastor to the School Council. He is Minister of the Uniting Church Parish in Orange.

Mrs Joanna Hoskins

Mrs Hoskins is a member of the School Council and serves as Convenor of the Finance & Risk Sub-Committee. A qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in private practice and financial services, she most recently held the position of Chief Financial Officer at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club. Mrs Hoskins also holds a Governance Institute Certificate in Governance for Not-For-Profits.

Mr Trevor Delbridge

Mr Delbridge, as Executive Director, Corporate & Governance, is responsible for contributing to and delivering on the strategic vision of the School. His role encompasses the financial wellbeing of the School and the provision of resources to support educational outcomes. He is responsible for corporate support functions such as financial management, admissions, property, health services, and more. Mr Delbridge is a member of the Senior Management Team and serves as Clerk to both the School Council and the Kinross Wolaroi Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney and is a Chartered Accountant.

Rev. Alan Robinson

Reverend Robinson is a Uniting Church minister appointed to the School Council. He and his wife Sharyn moved to Orange after his retirement. Reverend Robinson began his career on the family farm near Young, NSW, and has since served congregations in NSW and Queensland. He is also the author and illustrator of children’s picture books.

Dr Srikanth is the Clinical Director of Infant, Child, Youth and Family Mental Health Services in the Western NSW Local Health District and a Child Psychiatrist. Passionate about working with young people, she has been actively involved in clinical work, research, education, and management roles across four countries.

Mr Cardiff is an accomplished marketing professional with experience in the not-for-profit sector, having worked for organisations such as the Australian Red Cross and University of Technology Sydney. He has held senior leadership roles in large organisations, including his most recent position as Director of Market Strategy and Partnering at Charles Sturt University. Mr Cardiff volunteers for St Vincent De Paul and Emus Rugby Club. He holds a Bachelor of Business from Western Sydney University.

Dr Jones is a dentist and research scientist currently working in the not-for-profit sector. She has held senior clinical management and academic roles within Charles Sturt University and the private sector. Dr Jones is committed to the value of education in shaping society and serves on the Finance Subcommittee of the School Council.

Mrs Paras Meates

Paras is a commercial lawyer with two undergraduate degrees from the University of Western Australia and a Master of Laws from the University of London (London School of Economics). She has also obtained a Graduate Certificate in University Leadership and Management from Charles Sturt University.

Paras began her career at Norton Rose in Perth before relocating to Orange in 2010. What was initially a short-term move turned permanent as her family embraced the region’s lifestyle, and her two children, Percy and Vivian, flourished at Kinross Wolaroi School. She is currently the Manager of Legal Services at Charles Sturt University.

Paras joined the Council in May 2022 and is a member of the Policy & Risk Subcommittee. Her role at Charles Sturt University gives her valuable insight into the governance framework of the Council, and she is enthusiastic about contributing to the School and regional community in ways that draw on her professional and educational expertise.

Ms Sweetapple has extensive experience in risk management, governance, and policy, covering roles such as developing contingency plans for the Sydney Olympics and reporting to company boards. She aims to embed a risk-informed culture at all levels of the School and hopes to engage the School Council in her passion project on climate change.

Mrs Taberner is a Chartered Accountant and RegisteredCompany Auditor with over 25 years of experience in accounting and auditing.She is the Director of a small family-owned business and brings a wealth offinancial expertise to her roles.

As a parent of three children at Kinross Wolaroi School, MrsTaberner is deeply invested in the School community. She joined the Council andserves on the Finance Subcommittee, where her professional background infinancial management and auditing supports the governance and financialoversight of the School.

Mrs Gagandeep is a UK-qualified employment specialist with over 19 years of experience as an employment lawyer. Her career includes ten years in private practice in London, followed by senior in-house employment counsel roles within commercial businesses. Mrs Gagandeep holds extensive expertise in employment law and HR strategy, providing strategic support to HR and legal teams and advising business leaders both in the UK and globally.

Mrs Gagandeep and her family moved from London to Orange in Easter 2023 and have quickly become part of the local community. She volunteers with Orange Food Care and is the parent of two sons at Kinross Wolaroi School. Mrs Gagandeep was appointed to the Council in May 2024 and serves on the Risk and Policy Sub-Committee
