Round Square

I regard it as the foremost task of education to insure the survival of these qualities: an enterprising curiosity, an undefeatable spirit, tenacity in pursuit, readiness for sensible self-denial, and above all, compassion.

CHaracter building ideals

Round Square schools share a commitment to character education and experiential learning built around six themes – our ideals – International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service.

Regional Heart, Global Spirit

Membership of the Round Square provides opportunities for our students to travel as exchange students to other schools in Australia and overseas and to participate in international projects initiated by any of the member schools.

Each year staff and students attend the junior and senior Australian schools conference and the international conference. Conferences provide opportunities to listen to guest speakers, debrief with other students, gain an understanding of other cultures and step outside one’s comfort zone.

Activities closer to home will also provide students with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, to collaborate with other schools on in-class projects and participate in service and adventure activities. Exchange programs are an important part of the Round Square program, providing national and international experiences and perspectives for students.

Building World-Wide Friendships

Student Exchange Program

Through our Student Exchange Program, students broaden their understanding of diverse cultures and forge lasting relationships. We recognise that the benefits of these experiences are vast, contributing significantly to the personal growth and development of our students. By immersing themselves in new environments, students gain invaluable skills and perspectives, further preparing them to become responsible and informed global citizens.

International exchange opportunities are available to Year10 students, while national exchange is offered to Year 8 students.
