ACADEMIC CHALLENGE, ACADEMIC CARE
curriculum
At Kinross Wolaroi School, we tailor our class placements to support each student’s academic growth and learning needs. Our broad curriculum provides a rounded, balanced and liberal education where your child will be stimulated to learn in an atmosphere of engagement, involvement and commitment by skilled and dedicated teachers.
We live in a rapidly changing world and our pupils need to be equipped with soft skills, emotional intelligence and wellbeing principles to succeed in an environment that is complicated, unpredictable and challenging.
Supporting our students
Nurturing student wellbeing
Our aim is to cultivate a nurturing environment where students are supported in their individual interests and needs. We embrace diversity and empower students to be authentic to themselves and the principles upheld by the school and their families.
Our staff collaboratively ensure the continuous well-being of every student, employing various formal support structures, with the Mentor House system being paramount. Each student is assigned to a House with a dedicated staff member as their Mentor.
Additionally, students have access to support from the Chaplain and School Psychologist as needed.
Outstanding hsc results
Preparing for success
Our school’s outstanding HSC results reflect our commitment to academic excellence and we continuously rank among the State’s top schools and as the top school in the Central West. Our students achieved remarkable success in 2024, with three students in the 'Top Achievers in Course' list. Close to 35% of our students achieved ATARs above 80, with 47 students listed as 'Distinguished Achievers'.
Shaping Future Leadership
Student Leaders
Our student body is led by exemplary School Prefects and Student Leadership teams, who initiate and lead various programs to enhance school spirit, unity, and pride. These have included the Central West Leadership Forum for regional student leaders, student gatherings to foster a sense of belonging, and the creation of the Kinrossian Award to honor kindness and generosity. Our senior students’ courage and dedication have made our school and community a better place.
